Inklings Link-Up~December 2020

Inklings, Christmas edition is here! Here's my November Inklings post, which was so much fun to do!

1. At any time during the month, on your own blog post a scene from a book or film that matches the prompt, including a link back here in your post.

2. Link-back to Heidi's blog in the comments section with a link to you Inklings prompt.

December Prompt

A Christmas scene in a book or a film that makes you happy

Leverage: Season 1-Episode 4

The Miracle Job

This prompt was actually very difficult to do because there are so many Christmas movies that I love. However, this episode from Leverage is one of the most endearing episodes that really does have you cheering for the team. It's also one of my favorite episodes in the series. When a cherished Cathedral is threatened to be shut down, Nate must go back to a life he has tried to hide from everyone. His team do the unthinkable when they try to 'steal a miracle,' or create their own miraculous event in hopes of saving the church.

The Miracle Job in its essence is Nate trying to reclaim a life that he lost, the death of his son that he blames himself for and the God that he is trying to understand. This is the first time where Nate really opens up to the team about his past. As a Christmas episode it really delves deep into the theme of hope as well as the importance that the Church plays in communities and what priests are willing to sacrifice for the parishioners they love. Not to mention it had some great moments and lines from the rest of the team!

  1. Just today I was wondering what you would do for this! I recently started watching Leverage and am two episodes in, so I'll come to this one soon. I'm loving it so far and want to get my sister into it too!

    1. It's difficult having a favorite episode because there's no such thing as a bad episode in the series.

Thank you for your comments : )

I love getting comments, long or short, whether you agree with me or not. .

Just be kind. I don't tolerate any rudeness at all. So just be careful with what you write and how you write it.
