All About You Round the Blogosphere Tag

I came across this tag from An Ordinary Pen and thought it looked like fun.

What is your favorite book/series and why?

- Harry Potter. Because it's Harry Potter! Really because Harry Potter came into my life at a time when I needed characters that I could relate to. I could understand Harry's frustration of never fitting in, Hermione's pride in being intelligent and Ron's desire to prove himself within his family and peer group. I wanted to go to Hogwarts and become a professor *Charms.* I wanted to marry Harry Potter (or Oliver Wood) and live in home similar to the Burrow.

Who is your favorite author?

- J.K. Rowling for both the Harry Potter series and the Cormoran Strike series (of which she's uses the pseudonym Robert Galbraith) . Some people say her early writing is terrible, but when I was kid I always enjoyed how concise and entertaining her descriptions were and how real her characters were on page. The Strike series is similar as well. Even though her writing and storytelling is darker and adult, she still spins a great story with excellent characters.

What is your favorite food?

- Chocolate. And chocolate. And more chocolate. It's actually a running joke at work that I have to have my chocolate when I'm up at the desk.

What gives you inspiration for your books?

- Usually other books or movies. Whenever I watch a movie, within the first 15 min. I'm rewriting the story in my head. As a history lover I enjoy research and study and creating fictionalized stories from true life events, whether it's the Viking age or WWII.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

- I would want to live in either Switzerland or France. Anywhere in France really, the whole country is amazing. Switzerland is where my family originated from and there's still a small town that was settled by the knight in our family, Ritter Baldenbert von Wolfensberger.

Are you an introvert or extrovert?

- An absolute extrovert to the extreme.

If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

- Though she looks quiet, there's a lot of hell brewing inside. Proceed with caution.

I tag:

  1. What fun!! Thanks for tagging me! Look forward to answering the question. Chocolate is one of best foods! Especially after a long day at work! ;) Cannot say I've ever read Harry Potter, but some of my friends love it. How cool that you had a knight in your family! Personally, I love family stories that are passed down generation after generation. There is something special about an oral story. The Viking age is facinating, especially their mythology.

    1. You're welcome! Chocolate is great anytime of the day! Usually for me it's during work : ) My family loved the story of the family knight even though we don't have a great deal of information on him. Yet, it's different and unique too. The Viking age is definitely fascinating and I love reading their mythology too.

My favorite chocolate...that's hard. I love an old fashioned Hershey bar to be honest. You can never beat a classic!

  5. Switzerland and France are both on my potential/dream travel list. I'd love to see the Alps, and like you said, pretty much all of France seems worth seeing.

By the way, I've tagged you for another tag over on my blog, if you want to play. No pressure. :)

Thank you for your comments : )

I love getting comments, long or short, whether you agree with me or not. .

Just be kind. I don't tolerate any rudeness at all. So just be careful with what you write and how you write it.
