Beautiful People Link-Up #3

I'm really enjoying doing this link-up! This time I'm going to do one of he male characters from my St.Giles story : )
Lord Antony Mehrig of Calsbey Manor
(Background: Lord Antony Mehrig is the landlord that owns the land that St. Giles is set on. Originally the land was given to the church by Antony's father, but Antony bought it back for personal reasons. He's incredibly wealthy, respected and even feared in the community and people know better than to try and cross him. He oftentimes splits his time between his estate in England and traveling to France for business.)

1) What does your character regret the most in their life? Not always being there for the person he loves dearly and fears that his actions would cause her to never love him in return.

2) What is your character's happiest memory? Most sorrowful memory? His happiest memory was a family picnic that was taken on the manor's estate when he was seven. His most sorrowful memory was waking up in the middle of the night and finding his parents dead in their beds.

3) What majorly gets on your character’s nerves? Idiotic or argumentative people.

4) Do they act differently when they're around people as opposed to being alone? If so, how? It depends on the person he's with. Sometimes he can be stubborn, arrogant, and selfish. Then are times when he cam be kind and compassionate.

5) What are their beliefs and superstitions? (Examples: their religion or lack of one, conspiracy theories, throwing salt, fear of black cats.) Antony struggles with God and believes that God has abandoned him.

6) What are their catchphrases, or things they say frequently? Where is the rent? (He's a landlord)

7) Would they be more prone to facing fears or running from them? He tends to hide his fears and pretend that they don't exist.

8) Do they have a good self image? Antony is a well respected lord, but he often comes off as harsh and cold and doesn't deal well with other people's problems.

9) Do they turn to people when they're upset, or do they isolate themselves? He's very isolated.

10) If they were standing next to you would it make you laugh or cry? Neither. He would make me scream from frustration.

Beautiful People Link-Up #2

Beautiful People link-up is back! This was a lot of fun last month, but I'm not sure if we have to do a different character from each story idea or not...well, I do a different one.

Lady Margret Von Kesslar from "A Season Under Heaven"

1) What’s their favourite food? (Bonus: favourite flavour of chocolate!) Well, she's German so of course she's going to love Bavarian chocolate! Margret also loves any type of fruit, especially oranges and strawberries.

2) What do they absolutely hate? Margret hates hearing people fight and she hates being yelled at.
When she got married she made a promise to herself that she would never yell at her children, nor would she allow her husband to do it.

3) What do they enjoy learning about? Other countries. Margret wants to visit every country in Europe and also go to America.

4) Who is the most influential person in their life? Her husband, Captain Frederik Von Kesslar, a pilot in the German military during WWI. Although Margret dreaded that her husband was going to war, he told her that it was his duty before God to protect his homeland and to secure a happy future for their children.

5) What is their childhood fear? The dark. Margret has always feared the dark.

6) What is something they have always secretly dreamed of doing, but thought impossible? Taste one dessert in every part of the world.

7) What is something they are impractically afraid of? Walking down the stairs without a rail.

8) Are they a night owl or morning person? Definitely a night owl.

9) Do they say everything that pops into their head, or leave a lot unsaid? Because of her high social status, Margret is expected to keep her mouth shut. Only her husband has cared to listen to what she says.

10) What are their nervous habits? Getting up and walking around.

Beautiful People Link-Up

~ ~ ~

Alyvia LeBorde
"St. Giles: Under The Crucifix"
Alyvia LeBorde of St. Giles
1) What is their full name and is there a story behind why they got it? Alyvia Ysobel LeBorde. It was a favorite name of her mothers.

2) How old are they, and when were they born? She's 17 and she was born in Jerusalem, 1160.

3) Describe their physical appearance. (Bonus questions: 1. What is their race/nationality/ethnicity? 2. Do you have a picture of them? If so, include it!) Alyvia is an orphaned leper living in a Lazar house (a hospital for lepers) outside of London, England. Thankfully she was spared most of the deformities that most lepers suffer from. She is 5' 5", slender, has long brown hair that is normally worn in a long braid, large brown eyes and a sweet, endearing smile. Alyvia is French on her mother's side, but is unsure about her father's side because her mother never talked about him. She was born in Jerusalem, but moved to England when she was seven.

4) Describe your character's personality first in one word, and then elaborate with a few sentences. Devoted. Alyvia has devoted her health and her strength to serving the lepers in the Lazar houses of England (and eventually Jerusalem). She is a very gifted physician and will stop at nothing to protect the preserve the lives of the people she loves dearly.

5) What theme song(s) fit their personality and story arc? (Do you want to reword that or does that work? I'm not sure...) You Found Me by Kelly Clarkson

6) Which one of the seven deadly sins describes your character? Pride. She has a very hard time asking people for their help.

7) If they were an element (fire, water, earth, air), which one would they be? Earth.

8) What is their favourite word? Honestly!

9) Who’s one person they really miss? (It could be someone who’s passed away, or someone they’re not close to anymore, or someone who’s moved away.) Her mother and she constantly thinks of her father that she never knew.

10) What sights, sounds, and smells remind them of that person? Sunsets, flowers and honey.
