Well Hello : )
I know it's been a long while (like almost 2 years) since I've done a post like this. I'm lucky if I can post anything anymore, with how busy (and how real) life has gotten since I met Christian (my husband). However, I love writing and I never want to stray too far from it.
I foolishly thought that life would settle down after the wedding. Well it sort of did. I had finally moved into our apartment, so that meant no more back and forth between our apartment and my parent's house. Actually, for a while I didn't really call either place home. Both were mine and yet in a way they weren't. As the wedding approached, I spent every minute at the apartment, but went back to my parent's to shower and sleep. It was strange being caught between two homes. I had my country childhood home with my family and a new home in the city. To be honest, I never thought I would move out, much less get married and get our own place together.
Well, after the wedding and our wonderful honeymoon in Williamsburg, VA, Christian and I got back to our jobs and continuing to work on our little home. I've never been much of a cook, but since getting married I've started to enjoy it immensely. Since we got married in the summertime, it was a perfect time to start making my own lemonade. I've loved lemonade for years and I always wanted to make my own and I was surprised at how simple it is to make - Lemonade Recipe. I've also branched out and made lavender lemonade and raspberry lemonade and both are fantastic!
Since being married I've mastered several casseroles (poppy seed chicken, green bean casserole and shepherd's pie) and baking my own banana bread as well. I never thought I would love cooking and baking, but it's been wonderful learning.
Last month, Christian and I saw Les Miserables on stage. It was his first time and my...fourth?? We had a wonderful time! I never get tired of that story. Christian didn't really know a lot about theater until we met and it's been great introducing him to the world of stage and music! We've also seen Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Matilda Jr. as well. I also have plans to go see Newsies next year which the school where my sister teaches is putting it on. (this will by my second time seeing it).
So, there's a little update on my life since getting married. Now we're gearing up for the holidays and looking forward to our Christmas family vacation in the Outer Banks. Which now holds a greater significance because that's where we got engaged : )
Have a happy fall everyone! 🍂🍁

I love getting comments, long or short, whether you agree with me or not. .
Just be kind. I don't tolerate any rudeness at all. So just be careful with what you write and how you write it.
