August's Prompt
A breadmaking scene in book or film
Molly Learns a Lesson
by Valerie Tripp
I was pretty much raised on The American Girl book series and the Molly books were some of my favorites! Molly was fun and I saw a lot of myself in her plus it was my first real introduction to WWII. This prompt was a little tricky because I usually don't pay attention to small details such as breadmaking but I do remember several original American Girls had a breadmaking scene of sorts (the others being Josephina, Addy and Kirsten).
This one stood out because of the importance of educating the reader of how women (especially housewives) truly committed themselves to the war effort. Nothing was too small whether it was working at the hospital or in the kitchen; all efforts made a difference.

Just be kind. I don't tolerate any rudeness at all. So just be careful with what you write and how you write it.
