After nine years together, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally gotten married.

While their union was one of the most-anticipated in Hollywood history, the A-list couple managed to get hitched secretly in the France hamlet of Correns on Saturday, a spokesman for the pair says, according to The Associated Press.

The pair was spotted arriving with their children in tow at Nice airport in France on Friday via private jet and were believed to be heading to Provence's Chateau Miraval, the wine chateau in the village of Correns that they've been leasing since 2008,The Daily Mail reported.

On Saturday they tied the knot at Chateau Miraval in a private nondenominational civil ceremony at a small chapel attended by family and friends, the rep told the AP. Ahead of their nuptials Pitt and Jolie, 39, obtained a marriage license from a local California judge, who also officiated their ceremony in France.

The couple's six children also chipped in at the nuptials. The "Maleficent" star was walked down the aisle by eldest sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10. Daughters Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, threw petals while Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers, the spokesman said.

While no photos of their big day have been released, a source told E! Newsthat Jolie wore a "very traditional, but very Angie" dress that was "comfortable but plain white floor-length antique lace and silk."

The brunette beauty reportedly accessorized with "a small gold locket with a photo of her mom (Marcheline Bertrand) inside it." It's said the locket once belonged to Jolie's late mother.

"Brad lifted (her veil) and gasped because she looked so stunning," the source continued.

"The boys all wore tiny matching cream linen suits which were just like Brad's (tux)," the insider added. "The girls had each chosen a dress to match their own individual style and they had them specially made."

Pitt, 50, wasted no time sporting his new accessory, which was supposedly "designed by their good friend Robert Procop." The "World War Z" star was spotted Thursday at a photocall for his upcomng film "Fury" at The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset in England wearing his ring.

Jolie and Pitt began dating shortly after the "Moneyball" star ended his five-year marriage to Jennifer Aniston. They engaged in 2012 but indicated they'd wait to get married until gay marriage was legal.

"It's an exciting prospect, even though for us, we've gone further than that," Pitt told The AP in November 2012 about the idea of marrying Jolie. "But to concretize in that way, it actually means more to me than I thought it would. It means a lot to our kids."

The couple have three biological children -- Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne -- and adopted Maddox from Cambodia; Pax from Vietnam; and Zahara from Ethiopia.

Like Pitt, Jolie has also been previously married. In fact, she's been married twice, first to British actor Jonny Lee Miller for three years in the late '90s and then for three more years to Billy Bob Thornton. They divorced in 2003.

Early Thursday morning, "Inside Edition" spoke to the 75-year-old actor and asked about his daughter's wedding, which he said he didn' t know about.Missin in action from Saturday's ceremony was Jolie's father and only living parent, Jon Voight, who was in Los Angeles attending various Emmys events. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a drama for "Ray Donovan."

"That's nice," he said when asked to comment.

The newlyweds' pal, George Clooney, was a bit more enthusiastic in his reaction to the news.

"How great is that?!" he told E! News. "I'm really happy for Brad and Angie and their whole family."

Brangelina will soon begin filming their first movie together since 2005's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." Ironically, their next project, "By The Sea," which has been described as an "intimate character-driven drama" includes the pair getting married on-screen.

Working together is not the norm for the two highly sought after thespians. Still, they've managed to keep their love alive by engaging in deeply romantic gestures, like writing handwritten love letters to one another when they're not able to be together.

"We wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us,"Jolie told Australia's TV Week magazine in July. "He was supportive from a distance, and it was quite romantic in a way."

Reps for the actors have yet to respond to the Daily News' request for comment.

At the Maleficent premiere
While some people may gag at this news, I am really happy for them and their children. They are an admirable couple, not just in their successful careers, but also as parents and in their philanthropic advances for better lives for women and children across the globe. As I wrote a few years ago in my first movie review, Legends of The Fall, I had stated that I never cared for Brad Pitt, one of the reasons was that he left his former wife for Angelina Jolie. Now, that I look back, I'm somewhat ashamed, because I really didn't know anything about him or his family, and after I've read more about the Jolie-Pitt family as well as what an extraordinary woman Angelina Jolie is I've learned not to judge others by what everyone else may say about them. Also, it's good to be reading about a wedding and family in America, especially when both seem to be under constant attack today.

(Vivenne clearly isn't in attendance)
Congratulations to the both of you and your family!

Smallville layout

In honor of my growing love for Smallville, I made a Clark and Lana inspired layout, complete with their favorite color, blue : ) The lyrics are from Everything which was in Season 1 of the show and was primarily Lana Lang's theme song. One of my favorites!

Supernatural - Season 1

Supernatural - Season 1

After wanting to see this show for a while, I finally got my chance while I was housesitting and the family had Netflix, so I sat down and for two days I manged to watch all of Season 1. I now realize that it was probably a mistake, because I was at someone's house, I was alone, and I watched the first 5 episodes at night (Bugs and The Hookman, I could definitely do without).

The show in its most basic form is about two brothers, Dean and Sam Winchester, who travel the U.S. in search of their father and along the way must battle demons, ghosts, vampires and whatever else may seem out of the ordinary. In general has an interesting concept and take on the legends and mythologies of Supernatural creatures and American hometown lore.

Sam Winchester
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester in
Supernatural - Season 1

Brainy and sensible Stanford student, Sam Winchester, may appear to be an ordinary guy with a beautiful girlfriend, fantastic grades and a promising career as a law student, but all that comes to a halt when his older brother, Dean, breaks into his college dorm to inform him about their missing father. Suddenly Sam's perfectly normal life and possible future are put in the back seat as he reluctantly agrees to help his brother search for their father, John Winchester, a supernatural hunter who has led a personal crusade to find the demon who murdered his beloved wife 22 years before. Since then, John Winchester has had an unorthodox approach of raising his sons to fight demons and monsters and insists that one day they will take over.

At first, Sam is obstinate about the idea of trekking across the American mid-west to find a father he's had no contact with in almost two years. In his mind, he's doing it for his brother who has been more of a father to him than John Winchester ever was. Only when Sam returns to Stanford, he finds that his girlfriend has been murdered in the same was that his mother was. Now, his father's 22 year crusade becomes his own and nothing and no one will deter the young man from gaining his revenge on the demon who murdered the mother he never knew and the young woman he loved dearly.

For years Sam abhorred being raised differently from other kids, constant moving around, learning how to fight and always being on his guard, lest anyone finds out about the family secret. One of the reasons Sam left home for Stanford (much to his father's disapproval) was the chance to live a regular life and not worry about what may be lurking outside his door. As the show progresses, Sam becomes more and more intrigued by the family business of hunting things and saving people (as Dean puts so eloquently). His brilliant mind and practical nature makes him a great asset in the business. He has a very personal way with people and is able to understand the hurting human heart as well as the damaged mind, but in all actuality, it's his brother that makes Sam want to stay and continue to hunt, no matter what the cost in the end may be.

Dean Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester in
Supernatural - Season 1

Handsome Dean Winchester is what one can very easily describe as 'a good son.' While his younger brother tears away from the family supernatural hunting business, Dean stays with his father and never questions his authority at any point in time. While off the clock, Dean is charming, funny and a consummate ladies man, but when he's called to fight, he will stop at nothing to save people from demons and monsters. Dean's devotion to his father is what separates him entirely from his younger rebellious brother. In Dean's eyes, John Winchester has every validation in the world to hunt down the demon that almost destroyed his family and neither Sam or God himself will tear Dean away from the belief.

While on the road (in his beloved Impala), Dean finds a surprising gift of compassion towards people who are hurting from the same trauma he suffered as a four year old boy who lost his mother. Whether it's helping children to find their lost voices or assisting former girlfriends in clearing their family's name,  Dean's surprising kindness and courageous heart become as important as his personal charm and hunting skills. Sam, himself, is surprised at this change in the brother he's admired all his life. Even as a child, Sam worshiped his older brother and would rather listen to him than even conceive the thought of listening to his father.

If Sam is the smart brother who tries to keep everything going smoothly, Dean is the fun brother who likes to have a good time. Whether it's pulling pranks or encouraging his brother to liven up and make a move on a girl they might be working a case with. Dean's almost split personality from a serious fighter to a hilarious jokester is what keeps the storyline from becoming to serious as well as establishing a continuing growing bond between him and his brother.

Saving People, Hunting Things,

The Family Business

Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and Jared Padaleck as Sam Winchester in
Supernatural - Season 1

I was pleasantly surprised by the show; until I started watching The Vampire Diaries, I had never cared for anything supernatural, but I was surprised at the in depth storylines and shocking twists that each episode offered. The show starts out in a very interesting way, very serious in the beginning, but as the boys became more comfortable with the job (especially the very successful cases), life on the road can become lighthearted and fun, with Sam and Deans pranks, banter and never-ending disagreements on their tastes in women. In the end though, it's about reuniting with their father and above all hunting, finding and finally killing the demon that has been the bane of their unusual family life.

Beautiful People Link-Up #3

I'm really enjoying doing this link-up! This time I'm going to do one of he male characters from my St.Giles story : )
Lord Antony Mehrig of Calsbey Manor
(Background: Lord Antony Mehrig is the landlord that owns the land that St. Giles is set on. Originally the land was given to the church by Antony's father, but Antony bought it back for personal reasons. He's incredibly wealthy, respected and even feared in the community and people know better than to try and cross him. He oftentimes splits his time between his estate in England and traveling to France for business.)

1) What does your character regret the most in their life? Not always being there for the person he loves dearly and fears that his actions would cause her to never love him in return.

2) What is your character's happiest memory? Most sorrowful memory? His happiest memory was a family picnic that was taken on the manor's estate when he was seven. His most sorrowful memory was waking up in the middle of the night and finding his parents dead in their beds.

3) What majorly gets on your character’s nerves? Idiotic or argumentative people.

4) Do they act differently when they're around people as opposed to being alone? If so, how? It depends on the person he's with. Sometimes he can be stubborn, arrogant, and selfish. Then are times when he cam be kind and compassionate.

5) What are their beliefs and superstitions? (Examples: their religion or lack of one, conspiracy theories, throwing salt, fear of black cats.) Antony struggles with God and believes that God has abandoned him.

6) What are their catchphrases, or things they say frequently? Where is the rent? (He's a landlord)

7) Would they be more prone to facing fears or running from them? He tends to hide his fears and pretend that they don't exist.

8) Do they have a good self image? Antony is a well respected lord, but he often comes off as harsh and cold and doesn't deal well with other people's problems.

9) Do they turn to people when they're upset, or do they isolate themselves? He's very isolated.

10) If they were standing next to you would it make you laugh or cry? Neither. He would make me scream from frustration.

In Remembrance of WWI

Robert's Prayer (Bring Him Home)

100 years ago Germany declared war on Europe.

To all the fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers all over the world that gave their lives for their families, their countries and their freedom.

For those who returned home.

For those who didn’t.

For those who came back heroes.

For those who came back disgraced.

For the boys that left home and returned as men.

For the soldiers that closed their eyes at night only to see the war replay in their minds.

To the nurses and doctors who risked their own lives to preserve the lives of the brave men and boys.

To the courageous families they left behind that waited with anxiety and prayers.

To the wives who spent lonely nights awake.

To the children who wondered when their fathers would return

To the mothers who let their sons go.

To the fathers who fought by their sides.

To the brothers who waited for their stories when they returned.

To the sisters who shed tears of hope and fear.

Also to the families that opened their homes to the wounded soldiers returned from the battlefield and who sacrificed much of their former lives to make way for a very different one.

Here’s to 100 years of remembrance of pain and suffering, of horror and hell, of fear and nightmares.

Here’s to 100 years of continuing joy and victory, of hope and heaven, of home and peace.

Thank you for your sacrifice.

"If I am asked what we are fighting for, I can reply in two sentences. In the first place, to fulfil a solemn international obligation … an obligation of honor which no self-respecting man could possibly have repudiated. I say, secondly, we are fighting to vindicate the principle that small nationalities are not to be crushed in defiance of international good faith at the arbitrary will of a strong and overmastering Power."

~Premier Asquith, Statement, to House of Commons, Declaration of War with Germany, August 4, 1914.
