Ivy Miranda

     Well Hello,

I'm a homeschooled graduate...but I can't play any musical instruments, I've never been in a national spelling bee, I've never endured a science fair, I prefer reading Lemony Snicket over Jane Austen and C.S. Lewis over Louisa May Alcott, I only go to homeschooling conventions to shop, I didn't learn how to read at 2 years old, I hit my roof in math in the 2nd grade, I didn't graduate at 14 (17 actually), and I never had to wear homemade clothes.

Proud graduate of Paul D. Camp Community College-Class of 2016! Majored in English and history and earned a Certificate in Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences.

I've spent most of my life taking care of children in church nurseries, daycares and private nannying. Most times it was great other times not so great. I spent six lousy months as a waitress to get out of childcare and realized I was better at making the rules than taking the rules.

Now working as an I-Zone attendant at the YMCA.

Basically, I'm back in the childcare business.

Proud Ravenclaw!

I love reading and watching movies/shows which normally lead to reviews for both. I still love going to the movie theater! And I tend to get terribly sucked into television programming, usually British Drama (Poldark, Downton Abbey, Call The Midwife, etc.) and I feel no shame. I will admit that I tend to be pretty competitive when it comes to movie reviews...

For years I've battled my weight (nothing too extreme), but my health wasn't good. So, I took the initiative and started to carefully monitor my eating and has reaped some wonderful benefits! Believe it's possible! I also love the gym and working out is stress relieving for me.

I live out in the country and consider myself a country girl, but certainly not a nature girl. Meaning, no camping. At all! Reading underneath my family's Bradford pear trees is absolute heaven.

And Barnes & Noble.

That's heaven too!
